Kyle Abbott Drowning in Resentment on Young and the Restless

A while back, on Y&R, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) told his mom, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), that she should take the CO-CEO position at the family company, Jabot Cosmetics. He was trying to be gracious even though he wanted the position for himself.

But now, it’s coming back to bite him. Working under his mother is much harder than he anticipated. He’s finding it difficult to take orders from her and is lashing out. They’re butting heads at the office and bringing it home as well.

Instead of getting better with time, things are only getting worse on Young and the Restless. This week, Kyle confides in his ex-wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), and she helps him decide what his next steps should be.

Summer Helps Kyle See the Light on Y&R

This week, Summer runs into Kyle while he is drinking at the bar in the Neil Winter’s Jazz Lounge. Of course, she knows him well and can tell something is up with him. So, she presses him to open up to her.

Kyle finally admits to his ex how deeply he resents Diane on Young and the Restless. Furthermore, he tells her how Diane is constantly making mistakes and he’s the one cleaning up her messes.

He thinks she’s unqualified for the position and he would be much better at it. After his discussion with Summer, he realizes he has to make a choice. Either he leaves the company altogether or proves Diane is unfit and goes after her job.

Diane Finally Going Down on Young and the Restless?

Indeed, it looks as though Kyle might fight to take his mom’s place at Jabot rather than bow out gracefully. If so, things are about to get extremely messy between mother and son. If Kyle tries to take her down, Diane may never forgive him.

It could destroy their bond forever if he tries to steal her job. No doubt she would be humiliated in front of her colleagues, especially if Kyle plays dirty. He certainly has a dark side on Young and the Restless.

And he is not afraid to go there from time to time. If he lets it take over, things may never be the same between him and Diane. Many others have tried to destroy her since her return to Genoa City.

But, in the end, it could be her own son that causes the most damage. The drama is picking up on Y&R. Keep watching to see if Kyle Abbott plots to destroy his mother on the CBS sudser.
