Glenn Thore has been through a lot since his wife, Babs Thore, passed away. It was hard for him knowing that he was going to have to spend the rest of his life without the love of his life. He didn’t know how he was going to do it. However, when shocking news that his long-lost daughter was found, it shook up his world.

The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member came clean to his daughter, Whitney Thore, and son, Hunter Thore, about his romance when a lady named Jackie. He had fathered a child out of wedlock. However, at the time, he had to move to Japan. So, he never saw Jackie or the baby. Yet, he did know that she was put up for adoption.
An online DNA test that one of Glenn’s family members took led him to find his long-lost daughter, Angie. It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time in his life. He lost one family member and then gained several.
Glenn Decides to Move to Alabama
Glenn decided to invite Angie and her family on his bucket list trip to Switzerland. He felt it was the perfect opportunity to get to know his new family. He wanted to make up for lost time. However, it seems like he wants to continue getting to know his family once the trip ends.
Angie and her family live in Alabama. So, she and the My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member spoke about him moving there to spend more time with her and her family. He felt that it was the perfect time to go since he is retired and has nothing to do in Greensboro. However, not everyone was on board with the idea.
Whitney Thore felt like she was losing her father. The TLC star already lost her mother, and she didn’t want to lose another parent. She doesn’t like it when Glenn is out of her sight. She feels like she is not in control and gets anxious.

Glenn Thore moving to Alabama made many fans proud. One person likes that he is “open to a new chapter in his life.”Another person feels that he “deserves to be around his new family.” A person also thinks that it shows that he is an “independent person” and doesn’t need to be under the “constant care” of Whitney.
