General Hospital Comings & Goings: Spencer Cassadine Shocker Ahead?

GH casting updates tell us a leak dropped recently that suggests Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) might be off the canvas for a hefty chunk of time. You might recall that a while back, Nicholas Chavez landed the role of Lyle Menendez in the Netflix series MONSTERS: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

The brothers killed their parents back in 1989 and were convicted of their murders in 1996. No doubt, this will be huge for Nicholas’ career. But sadly, it will take him away from General Hospital temporarily. Unless they tape a ton of episodes in advance for him, he might need to be temporarily written off while filming for Netflix.

One way to explain his absence would be if he took off looking for his missing father, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). But if the writers take a different route, it could spell trouble for his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Hopefully, the “Sprina” romance will remain intact. They are only getting closer, and fans do not want to see them apart. So, hopefully, this new opportunity won’t keep Spencer out of Port Chuck for too long.

GH Casting News: Gloria Cerullo Out

More General Hospital casting news shows Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) out soon after Thanksgiving. Of course, her daughter, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), and granddaughter, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), are ecstatic that she’s visiting. However, she came with quite a bit of drama.

But now that they’ve helped her get that under control, she’s likely heading back to Bensonhurst. Lois, on the other hand, has no time frame. And she wants to stick around for her daughter, BLQ. So, hopefully, Lois is sticking around General Hospital for a while longer.

GH Casting News: Emma Scorpio Takes Off

Additional GH casting updates find Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) back out of PC soon. She recently came back for Thanksgiving to lift the spirits of her grandmother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Indeed, Anna’s life is in shambles right now.

So, her ex-husband, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) flew Emma into town to surprise her. But she is heading back home soon. Additionally, there is chatter that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are leaving General Hospital.

However, that seems highly unlikely and is probably just a rumor. Also, there’s a chance Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) might resurface. Plus, Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) might return for a short arc also. GH is intense right now. Don’t miss a minute to see if Spencer Cassadine takes a hiatus from the ABC soap opera and what that means for “Sprina.”
