He is an electrical engineer by day and a “karaoke champion by night.” However, after serving in the military, he felt he needed a change and wanted to learn English, so he moved to Australia. While in the country, he went on a dating app to meet someone. And that is where he met Devin Hoofman.

The 90 Day Fiance cast member admits she is the first white woman he has dated. He feels that women in Korea are too skinny. So, he prefers someone of her physique. He explains that she is “fit” and used to be a soccer player.
However, Devin was ready to go back to America. Nick couldn’t imagine living in two different countries. So, they got engaged and applied for a fiance visa. But, in his home country, they need to get his parents’ permission before they can wed.
Nick Calls Devin a Pig
Nick reveals that his nickname for Devin is “Piggy.” He explains it’s because she is “cute and a little chubby.” However, he admits that he thought “chubby” meant “a little fat” in English. But he realized that it meant “kind of quite fat.” So, he felt bad. Yet, he thinks that he is only trying to say that she is “cute.”
The 90 Day Fiance cast member insists that “Piggy” is a term of endearment. However, Devin explains to Nick that in America, they consider it to be “extremely rude.” She has explained that to him. So, she thinks he knows. But she no longer finds the nickname offensive.

Nick Ham calling Devin Hoofman “Piggy” doesn’t sit well with many viewers. One person feels that it is “extremely rude” because she has explained to him what it means, and he seems to “not care.” Another person thinks that she “clearly” doesn’t like it. Yet, he “keeps calling her it anyway.” A person even believes it’s “not a good nickname for anyone.”
Some 90 Day Fiance fans find it confusing that he thinks she is “chubby.” One person says that she doesn’t “look overweight” to them. Another person feels that her body “doesn’t scream chubby.” A person even thinks she “is not chubby in the slightest way.” They feel that “she looks totally normal.”
Nick clapped back at fans bashing him for giving Devin that nickname. He doesn’t understand why everyone is “so upset.” He asks what is wrong with calling his fiance a “piggy?” He feels that people who are mad over the nickname are “actually fat” themselves.
