General Hospital: 5 Best Couples of 2023…
1 – Spencer Cassadine & Trina Robinson
One of the hottest GH couples of 2023 is Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). No doubt, they had chemistry right away. But, of course, they faced more than their share of obstacles.
Spencer broke Trina’s trust several times and had to work hard to earn it back — but he did. Now, they’re stronger than ever — but they still have one huge obstacle left to conquer on General Hospital.
Recently, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) got her memories back — and she still hates Trina. More importantly, she hates that Spencer is in love with Trina. The old Esme is back, and it’s safe to say she’s not done wreaking havoc on “Sprina.”
General Hospital spoilers confirm that at the beginning of 2024, fans can expect the final showdown between Esme, Trina Robinson, and Spencer Cassadine. Chances are, “Sprina” will rise, and Esme will get what’s coming to her.
2 – Anna Devane & Valentin Cassadine – General Hospital Power-Couple
Another huge fan-favorite couple is Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Back in the day, when Valentin was a full-on villain, he and Anna were mortal enemies.
But, deep down, he always loved her — he was even obsessed. After many years, they finally wound up together, and “Vanna” quickly became a General Hospital super-couple.
Sadly, they recently called it quits, and GH fans are heartbroken. Of course, Anna and Val still love each other and could always get back together someday. Indeed, that’s what “Vanna” shippers are hoping for.
3 – Ryan Chamberlain & Heather Webber
Then there’s psycho Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and crazy Heather Webber (Alley Mills). No doubt, these two mega-villains were perfect for each other. It was a fun and exciting twist when it came out that they were Esme’s parents.
Now, Ryan is officially dead. However, General Hospital fans know that means nothing in the soap world. Even though the serial killer is off the canvas for now, there is always a chance he could return. And if he does, he will surely reunite with Heather and Esme.
4 – Olivia Falconeri & Ned Quartermaine on General Hospital
Another fave ship is Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and corporate shark Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). General Hospital watchers love “Niv.” Indeed, their marriage has been put to the test. The first time was when Ned cheated on Liv with his ex, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
They made it through that, and Olivia eventually forgave Ned. But then, more recently, on General Hospital, he lost his memory and thought he was his rock star alter ego from the past, Eddie Maine.
Olivia did her best to accept the fact that her husband may never come back to her. But, thankfully, Ned’s memories are back, and they are happier than ever. Of course, there’s no shortage of Quartermaine drama. And the legendary Q family is about to have the most dramatic New Year yet.
5 – Lucy Coe & Martin Gray
Last but not least is Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and her southern gentleman, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). Indeed, they’re a fun couple that fans love to watch. But they might be in for some angst soon on General Hospital.
Lucy is getting mixed up with her ex, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). No doubt their latest scheme is a recipe for disaster that will likely blow up in their faces. And it could cost Lucy her relationship with Marty.

1 – Hamilton Finn & Elizabeth Webber
As far as the worst GH couples go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) are certainly high on the list. The majority of General Hospital fanatics cannot stand the “Fiz” pairing — especially Liz fans.
The fanbase feels the relationship is forced and lacks chemistry. Furthermore, they want Liz to get her own storylines instead of just propping Finn. Currently, they’re together and happy, but fans want more for the GH legacy character — and they want her away from Finn.
2 – Austin Holt & Ava Jerome
Second on the General Hospital’s least-favorite couples list are Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth). They were only intimate once, as far we know, and their romance was short because Austin was murdered.
However, they weren’t going to last because Ava found out about his lies and betrayal. It’s just as well because viewers weren’t a fan of them together. However, Ava may go down for his murder because it appears someone is trying to frame her for it.
3 – Nina Reeves & Sonny Corinthos
One couple that has fans divided is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his new wifey, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). While many fans love “Sona” there might be more that loathe them. They hate that Nina let his family go on thinking he was dead when Sonny lost his memories.
And she’s continued to make terrible choices that hurt Sonny’s family since then. Indeed, the newlyweds are extremely happy together. But that is all about to change soon. Nina’s secrets are coming to light in the new year, and she will face a massive fallout.
4 – Drew Cain & Carly Corinthos
Many General Hospital viewers are not shy about their disdain for Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). They think “Crew” has zero chemistry and that Drew is all wrong for Carly.
Furthermore, they feel the character of Drew has become a dud. But, it looks as though they’ll be together for the foreseeable future.
5 – Portia Robinson & Curtis Ashford on General Hospital
The final couple on the GH worst list are Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Fans hate that Portia lied to Curtis about Trina being his daughter for her entire life. And many of them think Curtis should never forgive her.
However, now that Curtis is paralyzed, Portia is sticking by him. And because of her, he may soon participate in an experimental procedure that could help him walk again.
