Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK) surprised Erin Burnett, host of CNN’s Outnumbered, by taking a question about Donald Trump being an “evil” threat to democracy and suggesting President Biden, in reality, is much “worse.”
“Do you really believe that when people talk about the threat to democracy that Trump poses, do you really think that that is an equal evil to Biden?” Burnett questions during the appearance on Monday.
“Listen,” RFK replies. “I can make the argument that President Biden is a much worse threat to democracy.”
Burnett’s argument that ‘people talk about the threat to democracy’? That’s almost exclusively on legacy media outlets.
You’ll note Burnett frames the question as if it’s a bygone conclusion that Trump is evil. Trump is a threat. And Kennedy possibly equating Biden to him is a fringe conspiracy theory (‘Do you really think?’).
Media Bias 101. Framing the argument.

RFK Argues Biden Has Used The Federal Government To Censor His Opponents
While Burnett’s head probably came close to popping clear off her body at the notion that RFK could argue Biden is the bigger threat to democracy, he carefully explained his reasoning for the assertion.
The President, he states, has weaponized the federal government against his political opponents. And he’s done so in the form of censorship of opposing viewpoints.
“And the reason for that is President Biden is the first candidate in history, the first president in history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech or censor his opponent,” RFK elucidates.

RFK went on to tell the CNN host that censorship is far worse than questioning the legitimacy of an election.
“The greatest threat to democracy is not somebody who questions election returns but a president of the United States who will use the power of his office to force the social media companies Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, to open a portal and give access to that portal to the FBI, CIA, the IRS, the NIH, to censor his political critics,” he said.

‘Absolutely’ A Bigger Threat
Burnett is seemingly beside herself that RFK would suggest such a thing. So she asks for clarification.
Because it’s just so hard for her to believe.
“To be clear, you’re saying you could make an argument that President Biden is worse for our democracy than Donald Trump?” she questions.
Without hesitation, RFK fires back, “Absolutely.”
Say what you will about him, Kennedy’s interview with Burnett is a masterclass in how to handle a biased media source. He takes the narrative given to him and turns it on its head.
Burnett repeatedly pushes RFK on the matter. She must convince him that Trump is the bigger threat. It doesn’t work.
This right here is why Kennedy is consistently portrayed as an unhinged conspiracy theorist. The media needs you to believe Trump is the threat, but RFK says otherwise. When it came to forced COVID vaccines, the media needed you to believe them, anybody else was deemed a lunatic.
Both Trump and Biden have been trying to distance themselves from RFK for various reasons. Trump has repeatedly pointed out that while he has moments of clarity, Kennedy is still a far-left Democrat by any standard.
Polls are showing the Kennedy name is having a negative effect on Biden. Democrat voters are being pulled away by his running as an Independent.
