On the 190th day of the war, the Israeli occupation army continued to target residential areas in the Gaza Strip, committing 5 new massacres during the past 24 hours, raising the war’s death toll since last October 7 to “33,686 martyrs and 76,309 injuries.”
Since Saturday morning, Israeli occupation aircraft have continued to launch intense raids on the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, for the third day in a row.
Local sources reported to the Palestinian Wafa News Agency that a number of civilians were injured with various injuries as a result of the occupation bombing of the new camp north of the camp.
The same sources added that the occupation army renewed its bombing of an UNRWA school housing displaced persons in this camp.
The agency also reported that two civilians from the town of Beit Hanoun were martyred, at dawn on Saturday, in a raid launched by Israeli occupation aircraft on the vicinity of the residential city of Sheikh Zayed in the northern Gaza Strip.
Raids on various areas of Gaza
The occupation aircraft launched violent raids on the Central Governorate, the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Daraj neighborhoods in Gaza City, and the Al-Fukhari area southeast of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip. The occupation artillery also bombed the eastern areas of Jabalia, in the north of the Gaza Strip, and north of Al-Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.
On Friday evening, the occupation air force launched a raid on a house for the Al-Assi family in Zarqa in central Gaza City, killing at least 5 citizens and wounding 30 others.
The occupation warplanes launched a raid on Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip, while civil defense and ambulance crews were able to recover the bodies of 10 martyrs from various areas in the city of Khan Yunis in the south.
Bombing an UNRWA school
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Israeli occupation army once again bombed a school belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) housing displaced persons in the Nuseirat camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli artillery bombed an UNRWA school in the New Camp area in Nuseirat, causing severe damage to the school, without any reports of casualties.
5 new massacres
In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli war had risen to “33,686 martyrs and 76,309 injuries.”
The ministry said in its daily statistical report: “The Israeli occupation is committing 5 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, of which 52 martyrs and 95 injuries reached hospitals during the past 24 hours.”
She added: “There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.”
Escalation on Eid
For his part, Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army “escalated the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza during the days of Eid al-Fitr and doubled the targeting of civilians and the commission of massacres.”
Al-Qanou said, in a statement, “The occupation escalated the war of genocide against our people during the days of Eid al-Fitr, as hundreds of martyrs rose in the bombing of civilian cars, populated homes, human gatherings, and crowded markets, ignoring the religious feelings of Muslims and violating the sanctity of their holidays.”
He added, “The criminal occupation did not respect the sanctity of the month of Ramadan or the rituals of Eid al-Fitr. Rather, it doubled its targeting of civilians and committed more massacres, which represents a rebellion against all international norms, laws, and humanitarian conventions.”
